Paddle Pastettes (Pasteur or plastic pipettes)

Like a Beaver's tail, paddle pastettes have two functions - dispensing reagents onto slides then mixing using the opposite “paddle” end of the Pastette.
The broad and flattened tail of the Beaver can propel it through the water and is also used to slap the water creating a loud noise as a danger warning to other beavers. Paddle pastettes also have two functions: dispensing reagents onto slides then mixing using the opposite “paddle” end of the Pastette. Ideal for latex agglutination, pregnancy tests and and blood grouping cards.

Paddle Pastettes have a dual purpose

Paddle Pastettes (Pasteur or plastic pipettes)They aspirate and dispense in the normal manner but the paddle on the opposite end can be used for mixing reagents.

Ideal for applications such as latex agglutination, pregnancy tests and blood grouping cards.

Virtually every Pastette in the range has a customer application story behind it

Paddle pipettes (LW4292 and LW4295) were initially developed for latex testing and other serological card type tests where a sample needs to be added and then mixed with a reagent. Paddle pipettes are now more commonly used for plant tissue culture applications.

The pipette images and drawings above should only be considered life-sized when viewed on a monitor at 100%. If in doubt please refer to the indivdual pipette's specification.
